Hire Terms & Conditions

1. Hire Agreement

By accepting delivery of crates from Coastal Packing Hire ("the Company"), you ("the Hirer") agree to these terms and conditions. A hire agreement is formed when payment is received and crates are delivered.

2. Hire Periods

  • Standard hire periods: 1 week, 2 weeks, or 3 weeks from the date of delivery
  • The hire period begins on the confirmed delivery date
  • Extensions are available at the same weekly rate — contact us before your pickup date to arrange

3. Delivery & Pickup

  • Crates are delivered to and collected from the Hirer's Gold Coast location during confirmed time slots
  • The Company is responsible for delivery and pickup of crates
  • Crates must be available for collection clean, dry, and in the same condition as delivered
  • All crates must be available for collection by the end of the agreed hire period

4. Late Returns

  • Crates not available for collection after the agreed hire period will incur a late fee
  • Late fee: pro-rata daily rate based on the original hire period price
  • Crates not available for collection within 14 days of the agreed pickup date will be charged at replacement cost

5. Damage & Loss

  • Normal wear and tear is expected and accepted
  • The Hirer is responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear
  • Lost or uncollected crates will be charged at replacement cost
  • The Company reserves the right to inspect crates upon collection

6. Acceptable Use

  • Crates are provided for the purpose of packing and moving household or office items
  • Crates must not be used for storing hazardous materials, liquids, or perishable food
  • Maximum load per crate must not be exceeded
  • Crates must not be modified, painted, drilled, or altered in any way

7. Liability

Coastal Packing Hire provides crates in good condition for the purpose of packing and moving. The Company is not liable for damage to the Hirer's belongings during packing, transport, or unpacking. The Hirer is solely responsible for how items are packed and transported.

8. Referral Program

  • Referral credits are applied to the next completed hire
  • Credits have no cash value
  • Maximum one referral credit per booking
  • Credits expire 12 months from date of issue
